Error reinstalling OneDrive/disk full because of a glitch with freeing up space/don't want to lose files

I was using OneDrive fine. I think made errors when trying to free up space and keep other files on my machine. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling OneDrive, but now I'm getting an error that there is no disk space. I don't see any files on the actual computer and see only 1/2 when I lot into OneDrive via a browser. Is the disk full with the files that were uploading and downloading?

How can I preserve these files and not loose them while making the system ignore the full disk error?

Need assistance to fix, without losing files.

Another way to go is to move OneDrive to a larger drive. Do you have another drive? An internal drive would be ideal, but an external drive can be used as long as you don't eject it (unplug it).
