If your Xbox controller is not appearing on the Microsoft devices page after entering its serial number, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can consider:

    1. Verify the Serial Number: Double-check that you have entered the correct serial number without any typos.
    2. Device Compatibility: Ensure that the Xbox controller is compatible with the Microsoft devices page you are trying to access.
    3. Wait Time: Although you mentioned waiting a day, sometimes it may take longer for the device to be recognized, especially if there are system updates or maintenance on the Microsoft side.
    4. Clear Cache: Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser to see if that resolves the issue.
    5. Contact Support: If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your situation.

Unfortunately, the context provided does not contain specific information about Xbox controllers or their registration process, so these general troubleshooting steps may help you resolve the issue.

    Hi Fantom,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that your device doesn’t show up on the Microsoft Devices page after entering the serial number. To addition for Q&A Assist, please confirm the controller type Only certain devices (like Surface and Xbox consoles) support online registration. Most Xbox controllers will not appear even if the serial is correct. Check if the controller is first‑party If it’s not a Microsoft/Xbox‑branded controller, it cannot be registered.

Even if the controller doesn’t show up under your devices, you can still check warranty status directly here: https://support.microsoft.com/devices. For further assistance, you can contact support via https://support.microsoft.com/en-GB/home/contact.

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.

    Best regards.
