my email has been hacked. the hacker has changed the password and has been getting into my phone apps and draining airline flight points and attempting money transfers on sports betting sites.

Id like it locked, especially because every time I try to switch my info on these sites, they are getting the verification emails

To address your hacked Hotmail and Outlook accounts, here are the steps you can take to secure them:

    1. Contact Support: Since the hacker has changed your password, you should contact Microsoft support immediately to report the account compromise. They can assist you in recovering your account.
    2. Disable the Account: If you regain access, consider disabling the account to prevent further unauthorized access. You can do this by following the steps outlined in the Microsoft documentation for disabling a user account.
    3. Change Passwords: If you manage to regain access, change your password to a strong, unique one that the hacker cannot guess. Make sure to use a combination of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
    4. Enable Two-Factor Authentication: Once you regain access, enable two-factor authentication (2FA) to add an extra layer of security to your account.
    5. Check for Suspicious Activity: Review your account for any suspicious activity, such as changes to your recovery options or any unauthorized transactions.
    6. Secure Other Accounts: Since the hacker may have access to other services linked to your email, change passwords for those accounts as well and monitor them for any unauthorized activity.
    7. Report Fraudulent Activity: If the hacker has attempted money transfers or drained points from your accounts, report this to your bank and any relevant services immediately.

Following these steps can help you regain control of your accounts and prevent further unauthorized access.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

I'm sorry you are experiencing this.

The only way to recover a hacked account is through the official Microsoft troubleshooter guide:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-recover-a-hacked-or-compromised-microsoft-account-24ca907d-bcdf-a44b-4656-47f0cd89c245

If the account recovery web form doesn't work, and if the security info has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help either.

Since you are requesting to have your accounts closed, I would recommend reaching out to Microsoft Support immediately as they can possibly suspend the account permanently once they have confirmed that the account can no longer be recovered in order to prevent the hacker from using the account:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=S.HP.SmcContactUsLanding

Type "Microsoft 365 sign-in problem" > Click "Get Help" > Scroll down and select the option "Sign in to contact Support" > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Account Profile Questions > Confirm > then select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser"

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl
