I cannot log into the Authenticator app. My mobile number is out of date and required to log in. Can you help me log in so I can update my number, or vice versa?

If you cannot log into the Authenticator app because your mobile number is outdated, you will need assistance from another administrator in your organization to reset your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings. Here are the steps they can follow:

    1. Sign in to the cloud service portal as an admin.
    2. Go to the Multi-Factor Authentication management page.
    3. Select your account.
    4. Choose Manage user settings.
    5. Select the Require selected users to provide contact methods again checkbox, and then select Save.

This will allow you to log in again and update your mobile number in the system. If there are no other admins available, you may need to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Microsoft Q&A is public, and we can only provide information. It is beyond our capability to assist directly with the account or login-related issues.

To reset your password, please follow these steps:

    • Go to the Microsoft account recovery page: https://account.live.com/password/reset
    • Select "I forgot my password", then click Next.
    • Enter the email address or phone number linked to your Microsoft account and follow the on-screen instructions.
    1. If you don’t have access to any of the recovery options listed, click on “I don’t have any of these” and fill out the form as accurately as possible. Microsoft uses that information to verify your identity.

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Regards,

    John J.D.
