I have been working on this problem since yesterday. I originally was being billed for 2 accounts so yesterday I finally spoke with someone on the phone and she deleted the duplicate account. However today I have NOT been able to access my Microsoft Word but I can access Excel. It says I have to renew my subscription but I am paid thru April 2, 2026. What can I do to retrieve my Word program. I work of a MAC computer.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your Microsoft Word access after the deletion of a duplicate account. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this problem:

    1. Sign Out and Sign Back In: Open Microsoft Word, select your name or profile picture at the top, and sign out. Then sign back in using your correct account credentials.
    2. Check Subscription Status: Ensure that your subscription is still active. You can do this by signing into your Microsoft account and checking your subscription details.
    3. Update Microsoft 365: Make sure that your Microsoft 365 applications are up to date. You can check for updates by opening Word, going to File > Account > Update options > Update now.
    4. Reset Activation State: If the problem persists, you may need to reset the activation state for Microsoft 365 Apps. This can sometimes resolve issues related to account verification.
    5. Reinstall Microsoft Word: If none of the above steps work, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling Microsoft Word on your Mac. This can help resolve any installation issues that may have arisen after the account changes.

If you continue to have issues, it may be helpful to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.
