I no longer have my old mobile device which I had the authenticator app installed for MFA. Since my account has MFA enabled, How do I removed or bypass the authenticator app step to gain access into my personal Ms account to reset or log in on a new device without it requesting for a code?

If you no longer have access to the mobile device that had the authenticator app for MFA, you will need to reset your MFA settings to regain access to your Microsoft account. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Contact Microsoft Support: Reach out to Microsoft support for assistance. You will need to provide your account details and explain that you no longer have access to your authenticator app. They can help you reset your MFA settings.
    2. Use Alternative Recovery Options: If you have set up alternative recovery options, such as a backup email or phone number, you may be able to use these to verify your identity and access your account.
    3. Access Security Settings: If you can log in using another method, check your security settings to remove the old authenticator app from your account. You may need to go through a verification process to do this.
    4. Re-register MFA: After regaining access, you can set up MFA again using your new device.

It's crucial to keep your recovery options updated to prevent similar issues in the future.
