I installed Windows 11. Worked great. I did a reboot and now only numbers and enter and a few other keys work. Letter keyboard keys do not work. Tried different keyboards, USB ports, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks.

It sounds like you are experiencing a keyboard issue in Windows 11 where only numeric keys and a few others are functioning. Here are some suggestions to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check Keyboard Settings: Make sure that the keyboard layout is set correctly in Windows settings. Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language and ensure that the correct keyboard layout is selected.
    2. Update Drivers: Ensure that your keyboard drivers are up to date. You can do this by going to Device Manager, finding your keyboard under the Keyboards section, right-clicking it, and selecting Update driver.
    3. Test in Safe Mode: Boot your computer in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is caused by third-party software.
    4. Keyboard Filter: If you have any keyboard filtering software or settings enabled, they might be blocking certain keys. You can check the settings or disable any keyboard filter features.
    5. Try Different USB Ports: Although you mentioned trying different ports, ensure that you are using USB ports directly on the motherboard rather than through a hub, if possible.
    6. Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes, issues like this can be resolved with a Windows update. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to consider a system restore or further diagnostics to identify any underlying problems with the operating system or hardware.

Thanks for reaching out Andrew. The keyboard issue after the reboot is odd. It might be in a special mode or have a corrupted layout. Check Sticky Keys and Filter Keys in Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard. Make sure the input language is correct by pressing Windows + Space. If it persists, boot into Safe Mode to check for driver conflicts. Did you install any keyboard software or language packs recently? Does another keyboard have the same problem?
