How can I reset Word to default settings? I created a booklet for a friend and every time I open up Word it goes back to those settings even though I have changed them over and over again.

Go to Format> Document ion the main menu bar. Set the parameters you want for new documents then click the Default button. Confirm when prompted. New documents then should r3espect the new settings. [Note that if you do not click the Default button only the current document is affected.]

Thanks for checking in. Which version of Word you use on Windows?

The usual fix is to reset the Normal.dotm template, since Word loads your default settings from that file. Close Word, open File Explorer, go to %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates, then rename Normal.dotm to Normal.old. Open Word again and it creates a clean template with default settings.
