If your computer is registering multiple left clicks in a row, it could be due to several reasons. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you might consider:

    1. Check the Mouse Connection: Ensure that your wired mouse is securely connected to the USB port. Sometimes, a loose connection can cause erratic behavior.
    2. Test with Another Mouse: If possible, try using a different mouse to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem lies with the mouse itself.
    3. Clean the Mouse: Dust or debris around the mouse buttons can cause them to stick or register clicks incorrectly. Make sure to clean your mouse, especially around the buttons.
    4. Update Drivers: Ensure that your mouse drivers are up to date. You can check for updates through the Device Manager in Windows.
    5. Check Mouse Settings: Go to the mouse settings in the Control Panel or Settings app and check if any settings might be causing the issue, such as double-click speed.
    6. Disable Click Lock: If Click Lock is enabled, it might cause multiple clicks to register. You can disable it in the mouse settings.
    7. Check for Software Conflicts: Sometimes, third-party software can interfere with mouse input. Try closing any unnecessary applications to see if that resolves the issue.

If none of these steps work, it may be worth considering that the mouse itself could be malfunctioning and may need to be replaced.
