    Hi @Neil Flood,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for contacting us regarding the issue with your Outlook email account verification.

This issue typically appears when Outlook cannot confirm your account due to common factors such as incorrect credentials, incomplete multi-factor authentication, or organizational security policies. Many companies require mobile devices to meet compliance standards through enrollment in a management system like Microsoft Intune. If the device is not enrolled or does not meet these requirements, account verification might fail.

To help us assist you more effectively, could you verify the following details:

    • Are you using the Outlook app or the iOS Mail app to sign in with your account?
    • Could you share the exact wording of the message of a screenshot of it?
    • Does your company require Intune or MDM enrollment for mobile devices?
    • Could you double check if you used the correct account to sign in?

While we wait for your response, here are the steps you can try:

1/ Use the Outlook for iOS app if the issue occurs on the iOS Mail app

You can find the QR code to download the app here: Set up the Outlook app for iOS - Microsoft Support

    2/ Check device compliance

Certain work or school accounts require additional security steps before Outlook for iOS can be used. If you’re unsure whether these requirements apply to your account, please contact your Microsoft 365 administrator for clarification.

If additional steps are needed, you can follow the instructions in this article to complete the setup: Set up the Outlook app for iOS - Microsoft Support

    3/ Contact your IT administrator

If your organization uses conditional access policies, new devices often need approval before they can access company resources like Outlook. In such cases, your IT team may need to review and approve the device or guide you through the enrollment process.

Additionally, they can also help reset your MFA settings if you encounter issues with authentication. For reference: Manage user authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to continuing the conversation.
