I'm stuck in a loop being asked for an authernticator code which I can't get and I can't set up authenticator without the code that it would provide me!! No option to reset, no option to access my account through another means, Shocking user experience!! Crap system and it's easy to see why people are flooding to Gsuite

Have you previously set up Authenticator on your account before?

It looks as though you have previously set up Authenticator, but are trying to update your security settings to include a new Authenticator connection. However, you are unable to get a code to get onto your security page.

There is no option to recover the account or do anything other than input the code. Its a terrible customer experience. How do get into my security page to set up the authentication. There always used to be a recovery email i could use to gain access.

They are a joke. Once I get access im taking all my files and headed to Gsuite. I haven't had an issue in 15 years and now its all 'authenticator' and passkey and crap. Even through help articles are a never ending loop back to FAQs. CRAP UX!!

if it is asking for the authenticator code while logging in to your microsoft account mean MFA was set up. By setting up MFA you hade to get recovery key that you had to save for a black day, or alternative recovery via sms or email. Try to go via different verification option. Maybe if you had authenticator on previous phone check for backup. You may use Microsoft recovery form or contact direct Microsoft Support to reset MFA
