OneNote notes are not synchronized between the devices. "The section is not available"

Hello,

I have bought a new laptop and downloaded OneNote for which i regulary pay. Unfortunately the majority of my notes are not synchronised and now they are not visible neither on the new one nor on the old laptop. There is an message "This section is not available - it was added by an other device..." I tried to recover it from the cloud - doesnt work. How can i get my notes back ??

Hi. When you open OneNote on the original device do you see that missing section there and is it marked as synced or unsynced?

If it shows but is unsynced then try using OneNote’s sync command or reopen the notebook online at onenote.com. If it does not appear even on the original device then unfortunately the section may not have been saved and cannot be recovered.
