If your account is locked and you're unable to unlock it using phone verification, you may need to reach out to your organization's IT administrator or support team for assistance. They can help you with unlocking your account or provide alternative verification methods. Additionally, if you are a student, your educational institution may have specific support channels to assist you with account access issues.

If you have access to another admin account, you can also ask them to reset your password or check your account status.

For further guidance, consider checking the support resources available for your specific service, such as Microsoft 365 or Azure, as they may have additional recovery options.

Dear @اندرو عماد عبد الملاك يعقوب,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft 365 community support team regarding your locked account. We understand the urgency of accessing your files on Outlook/OneDrive, especially as a student.

The issue of an educational account being locked and repeatedly denying phone verification ("try another verification method") indicates that the lock is enforced by your institution's security policies, or the verification methods configured for your account are malfunctioning and need to be reset by an administrator.
As a student using an education account, you cannot resolve this account lock yourself. You must contact the organization that manages your account.

Your account (ending in .Edu or similar) is managed by your school, college, or university's IT department. Only they have the administrative permissions to unlock it or reset your security information.

Step contact your school's IT support

This is the only way to quickly resolve a locked education account.

    What to tell them:

    • State that your Microsoft 365/Outlook/School Account is locked.
    • Explain that the phone verification process is failing and giving the error: "try another verification method."
    • Ask them to unlock your account or reset your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) methods (phone number, authentication app, etc.) in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

    Crucial Note:

Since this is an Education/Organizational account, Microsoft Support agents cannot bypass your school's security policies or access your student account data. The control lies entirely with your school's IT staff.

The responsibility for resolving locked organizational accounts is always with the administrator of the tenant: Unblock users in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center (This document is what your school's administrator needs to follow to unlock your account.)

Please let me know if you have any further questions or if the problem persists after trying these solutions. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
