Entry Animation on Backward Navigation to Slide

Hello experts, I need help. I am learning to use animations on PowerPoint. I created a sample presentation with three slides. On the second slide, I have a 6-item infographic split into 3 to the left, 3 to the right and a central image tying up the 6 items. What I hope to achieve is that on transitioning to this slide, first, the central image "Dissolves in" and then the top two items enter with "Random Bars", then the middle two and then the lower two also with "Random Bars". After discussing the slide, I also want an exit animation in the exact reverse order of the entry using the same effects. I have gotten things perfect up to this point. Trouble is after I move from this slide, say to slide 3, and have any reason to revisit it (going backwards to slide 2), say on the request of a member of the audience, the animation does not work in this case. It just brings up the slide with the full content there already. I don't want it this way. I would love for it to still have the entry effect in this case. Please help.
