My main directory for OneDrive is named "Ronnie-Personal", but it conflicts with my "Personal Vault". I can't change the name or delete Personal Vault. OneDrive will not completely sync until I correct this problem.

    Hello Ronnie,

The problem occurs because OneDrive reserves certain names like “Personal” for its secure vault feature, so having “Ronnie-Personal” as your main directory creates a conflict that blocks syncing. The easiest fix is to rename your OneDrive folder to something else, like RonnieFiles, by unlinking OneDrive from your PC and then setting it up again with the new name.

If you don’t use Personal Vault, you can also disable it from OneDrive settings online, but keep in mind this will permanently delete any files stored in the vault. If syncing still fails after renaming, you can reset OneDrive by running %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset in the Run dialog and then reconfigure it.

To rename your OneDrive folder, you can follow these steps:

    1. Stop Syncing the Current Folder: First, you need to stop syncing the folder that is causing the conflict. You can do this by going to the OneDrive settings and selecting the option to stop syncing the library.
    2. Rename the Folder: Before you sync the library to a new folder, consider renaming the old folder to avoid conflicts. Make sure the new name does not include "Personal" since that is not allowed.
    3. Start Syncing Again: After renaming the folder, you can go back to your OneDrive site and select the option to sync again. This will create a new folder with the correct name.
    4. Important Note: Do not rename the synced folder after the sync is established, as this will break the sync relationship.

If you encounter any issues, ensure that the folder name complies with OneDrive's naming restrictions and limitations.
