To recover a Microsoft 365 account that has been hacked, you can follow these steps:

    1. Reset Your Password: Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page and select "Forgot password?" Follow the prompts to reset your password using your recovery email or phone number.
    2. Secure Your Account: After resetting your password, check your account security settings. Ensure that your recovery options (email and phone number) are up to date.
    3. Review Account Activity: Check for any suspicious activity in your account. Look for any unfamiliar sign-ins or changes to your account settings.
    4. Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): If you haven't already, enable MFA to add an extra layer of security to your account. This will require a second form of verification when signing in.
    5. Check for Unauthorized Changes: Review your account settings for any unauthorized changes, such as deleted security details or added forwarding addresses. If you find any, revert them.
    6. Contact Microsoft Support: If you are unable to regain access to your account or if you notice unauthorized changes that you cannot fix, contact Microsoft support for further assistance. You can start a service request online through the Microsoft 365 admin center.

By following these steps, you should be able to recover your hacked Microsoft 365 account and secure it against future unauthorized access.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

If hackers deleted your security information, you will need to select "I don't have any of these" on the Verify Your Identity screen and follow the prompts to replace your information.

    User's image

Note: If you remove all your previous security information and replace it with new information, your account will be put into a restricted state for 30 days.

This may have happened if you tried to sign in to your account on third-party websites, or if someone who knows your password has accessed your account, especially if you haven't already enabled two-step verification.

If you enable it, even if someone knows your password they won't be able to sign in without the Verification code.

Once you're able to replace your security details, it’s important to secure your account by using a strong password and enabling two-factor authentication with Microsoft Authenticator for verification.

Let me know if you still need more help.

    Hi,

Did you receive the product key for the Office license that came with your laptop?

Also, could you please check whether the Office license appears under your Services & Subscriptions page in your Microsoft account?
