I used to be able to select the contents of a cell and copy it to the clipboard. This no longer seems to work. Is it turned off on purpose or could you let me know when it will be available once again.
Many people are reporting this problem on this forum, this seems to be caused a problem in the latest update, try completely uninstalling the app and then re-download it from the store to test if that resolves the problem, if not, you may need for Microsoft to release a new update to resolve this.

As a workaround for me, I discovered that if I get out of the file, and open it again through "Recents", then I can use the context menus. But on every first load of Excel, I see that the context menus don't work.
It seems that sometimes it works and other times it does not.
When I touch the text inside the cell, it used to offer me options like select all, copy, cut. Now it highlights some of the text with a green highlight.
When I touch the text in the formula bar, it behaves similarily. After a couple touches, I get the expanding selection dots that don't work but still no pop up options for copy/paste.
The behavior eventually displays the copy, select all pop-up but it is uncertain how to get it to become available.
I tried clicking through the menus. It's too bad there isn't a copy/paste fallback in the Edit menu.
Everyone is still seeing this bug since that update and are reporting it to Microsoft, so hopefully there will be a fix provided soon for the iOS version of Excel.

busted for me too…workaround I found to copy/paste is to select the cells, open home menu, scroll down and select Search, type Copy, then select the Copy result, then do similar steps to paste 🤪
