Every time I sign into a website using Edge, I am asked, "it requires a primary password," which I recently enabled, but it has become a pain. How do I get rid of it?

Thanks for reaching out. I will walk you through. That feature is part of Microsoft Edge’s password manager and adds a layer of security. But you can disable it. Here’s how:

    1. Open Microsoft Edge
    2. Go to edge://settings/passwords in the address bar
    3. Under Sign in, look for the "Require authentication before autofill" setting
    4. Change the option from With custom primary password to either Automatically or With device password (depending on your preference)
    5. Authenticate when prompted to confirm the change
    6. Now, autofill should work without asking for the primary password each time

Once you change this setting, Edge will no longer ask for the primary password when filling in your logins.

Let me know if you still have questions. I am here to help.
