My deployment failed because Azure policies disallowed resource creation in the selected region, restricting deployments to approved regions only.

Can you someone guide me on how to resolve this location error while creating a workspace? I am using a student account that provides 100 credits, However, I am encountering this error that is preventing me from creating a workspace.

Is there a list of allowed locations I can choose from with student account, I used East Us 2 and East Us and they all gave the same error. I tried a couple of other locations as well and they gave the same error.

The objective of this policy is to ensure that your subscription has full access to Azure services with optimal performance. Should you need additional or different regions, contact support.." },

    Hi @Eugene

Azure for Students restricts which regions you can deploy resources to. Typically you are restricted to five different regions, and these vary for each person.
To confirm which regions are permitted for your student subscription:

    1. Go to the Azure Portal
    2. Navigate to: Policy → Assignments
    3. Look for a policy named “Allowed locations” or similar.
    4. Click on it and check the parameter value — this will list the regions you’re allowed to use
