No longer able to access Onedrive free plan

I have and was using the word program earlier today (May 3, 2025) to do some school work, and have had no issues with having to sign in or having to pay as it is all through my school. Well now it is no longer allowing me to have access to the free option of Onedrive and pretty much forcing me to upgrade to something I don’t need? How do I fix this immediately as it is going to affect my school and grades?

Thank you.

    Hello Tesa,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. I will do my best to help you on this situation.

Based on the issue you are having, before we are moving forward, may I know if the account that you lost access to OneDrive and Word program, is it a personal account (outlook.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com) or an account that is given by your school with a custom domain email address (for example: user@*schoolname.com)?*This will help narrowing down your type of account and allow me to provide the correct advice and solution.

    Best regards,

For microsoft/ word it through my school so @kaplanstudent.onmicrosoft

But for my one drive it automatically linked it to my personal gmail account. The storage is also not full so I don’t think it would be pushing me into an upgrade for that reason. I’ve got .2gb used up I believe.

    Hello,

I am still having issues logging back in and using my Microsoft programs on my iPad due to not being able to use Onedrive. I should mention I am able to use and login on my computer and phone, just not on the iPad. Please help me figure out how to fix this as it is important for my schoolwork as I use all devices at once sometimes. Thank you.

    Hi Tesa,

    Thanks for your response.

According to this issue, may I know if you have tried to re-install the OneDrive app on iPad?

Could you provide me the screenshot when you saw the error messages?

I am looking forward to your reply.
