Saved queries will not display in SQL view & I cant create a new one in SQL view

I have a new laptop and when I open one of my MS-Access databases, I cannot use nor see anything in SQL view.

I can select SQL view but the view is blank for my saved queries, and if I try to create a new one in SQL view it wont allow me to type anything.

There are no scroll bars so it is not a case of not seeing it.

I have tried deletng the Command registry key (co-pilot suggestion)- no difference.

I have Options- Allow Full Menu selected (and I can choose SQL view, but there is nothing there).

I dont know what else could be the problem? It is very frustrating as I edit most of my queries in SQL view.
